This expandable sleeve is available in 1/8" (0.125") Heavy Wall and 1/16" (0.062") Standard Wall thickness. Due to the braid angle used in the fabrication process it can contract and expand from it nominal size as needed during installation. This sleeve may be easily multi-layered to achieve desired thickness or insulation value.
DeltaGlass™ is a high temperature and heat resistant premium grade texturized braided fiberglass sleeve (fibreglass / glassfibre), fabricated from high quality type E fiberglass that will not burn and will withstand continuous exposure to temperatures of 1200°F / 648°C. It provides excellent protection for industrial wires, cables, hydraulic hoses, tube and pipes and also provides thermal insulation and personnel protection. Texturization provides the sleeve with enhanced insulation value.
This high temperature sleeve / heat resistant sleeve resists most acids and alkalis and is unaffected by most bleaches and solvents. It is highly flexible and conformable. The base fiber is manufactured to the specifications of ASTM D-578, ASTM committee D13, and subcommittee D13.18. This product is 100% Asbestos free.
