DeltaGlass™ radiant heat reflective tapes protects wiring, cables and hoses from radiant heat sources in industrial settings and also for automotive and mobile equipment under-hood applications.
For the tapes that have a fiberglass base - the base fabric is rated to 1200F, while the aluminum foil, aluminized PET film, or stainless steel foil is adhesively callandered to the base fabric. The adhesive is rated to 450F before it begins to vaporise and "smoke-off".
Heat reflecting and insulating tapes reflect 95 to 98% of the infrared heat striking the tape surface.
