Silicone Foams and Insulation Felts tend to be used in their sheet form to build covers and shields. They can be cut to size and shape, and held together with tapes and fastener systems.
Needled insulation is typically used as the insulation layer in removable blankets systems, where the needled product is held in place by the inner and outer layers of the blanket (typically metal mesh on the hot side and a fabric cover on the cold side.
