High Temperature Oven and Kiln Custom Door Gap Seal Batten Gasket
FlameShield™ Custom door gap seal and batten gaskets are particularly suited for burn-off ovens and kiln doors, where large gaps can exist. Prevents heat loss, saves energy and reduces damage to the frame of the oven / kiln.
Typically fabricated from needled fiberglass, silica or ceramic insulation and wrapped in stainless or inconel mesh, and then kept into the fabricated shape by using hog rings to join the metal mesh edges and seams.
Fiberglass models are rated to 1200F/648C, Silica and Ceramic versions are rated 1800F to 2100F.
Installation may be achieved by using fasteners and large backing washers to keep the gasket in place.
