Rope and Shaft Packing Gasket Seals
Rope and shaft packing gasket seals are used in a variety of dynamic and static sealing and gasketing applications. They offer easy installation. Square rope and packing is used as a shaft seal on rotating shafts such as on pumps.
A variety of materials includes fiberglass, silica, aramid, ceramic, vermiculite, PTFE, and graphite.
Ropes are generally round, or twisted. Square ropes are also available and most packings use square ropes. Custom ropes with multiple cores are available.
