Embossed / Dimpled / Texturized Stainless Steel Foil Heat Shield
2400°F / 1300°C Continuous Exposure: Higher Intermittent
304, 309, 316, 321 & 347 Austenitic Stainless Steel.
410, 420 & 446 Ferritic Stainless Steel.
This embossed / dimpled / texturized foil is easier to use than plain foil, as it flexes and can be shaped without creasing, allowing for easy fabrication of heat shields around hot components such as engine exhaust systems. Used as the inner liner heat shield in some removable engine exhaust blanket sets.
Provides greatly increased surface area and improves rigidity and handleability. Unlike plain foil, it does not easily crease and can be flexed without it taking a set.
Available thicknesses are 0.002", 0.004", 0.005", 0.006" and 0.008"
Typical roll width is 24" wide. Maximum length typically 150 feet. Roll core normally is 3" ID.
Some popular sizes and patterns are available by the foot, yard, metre and roll.
6 primary patters are available; shown below - A1, B3, C3, D6 and E6.
Other metals are available such as copper, aluminum, brass.
